How does Managed Services work?

There are many aspects to successful IT infrastructure management. Getting them all right, all the time is key. This service gives you 24x7 access to tools, processes and experienced resources that is often impossible to get on your own.

Most managed services are built on ITSM toolsets that provide automation.  If any customer device has an issue, an alarm is received by the monitoring tool.

The tool compares each issue to the alarm threshold. If the issue meets alarm criteria, a ticket is automatically created in the providers ticketing system and advanced algorithms are applied to ensure efficient automation and prioritization.  The prioritization should be taken extremely seriously and each incident needs to be automatically assigned a resolution time based on priority.  Engineer’s specific to the technology of the device are automatically notified of the new Incident and are immediately able to start working the issue.

Why would you want it?

When businesses turn to managed service providers, they are typically looking to resolve significant pain points within their IT organizations. But there are a myriad of hidden benefits that companies can gain through a managed services relationship.

Businesses that do not have a managed services relationship are relying on their own internal toolsets to help them pinpoint and resolve IT service issues. Managed services providers, however, typically have much more advanced toolsets at their disposal. This means instant diagnoses and faster remediation, but it also gives them access to data and information that can be invaluable to clients – data no one initially thinks to ask for – and which can mean surprising added benefits for the client company.
